Final Exam
Dear Fall 2011 Student,

Welcome to Josh's class. Josh is one of the best teachers in the program and you will learn a lot in 2285. Do not worry if you are going
to get an A or not but worry more about what you are going to learn from this class. I know that sounds silly but it is true.
Josh repeats himself over and over on some things but it all makes sense in the end. He is going to help you understand curriculum
development and assessment. Josh will take you step by step through a process known as Backwards Design. This lesson that you create using Backwards Design
will be unique and engaging to your students. Don't worry Josh provides a model for you that will help you with the process.
The best advice that I can offer is always do your work and go to class. If you are extremely frustrated and don't know what to do, just do something. Always embrace
revision. Josh will tell you this over and over. Do not be afraid to have your work critiqued, it is the best way to learn. Try not to get extremely frustrated when
you are thinking about a step for several hours. Hang in there and it will all be worth it in the end. I hope that you get as much out of this class as I have and use this
in your everyday teaching. Work hard and your outcome will be a masterpiece lesson that can be shared with your class.

Best of Luck,
Jenny Salgado
